In the book 'There's Something About Jonathan' reference is made to a recording done at Gold Star Studios, Los Angeles, involved a full orchestra, 'Cupid' and 'Lets Take The Long Way Home' both look to be from this session. I'm not sure about the other two, but as they arrived on the same CD I'll leave them here for now.

Very memorable 4 songs...well worth seeking out. His version of "Cupid" and "Let's Take the Long Way Home" are complete oddballs (and in the best possible way) in the entire JR catalog

Jonathan made an appearance in London in the spring of 1979. Since Jonathan had had a "hit" with a full band, it raised an eyebrow that he was doing such a major show completely by himself. Since that time, Jonathan has done many shows solo, "with an amp the size of the toaster"-style. But for most of the last 20 years has preferred to have his drummer, Tommy, accompany his "solo" show.
